Ambalapuzha – Sree Krishna Temple

Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple  in Ambalappuzha , Alappuzha . This temple is famous all over India, for Palpayasam, sweet milk porridge, offered daily in the temple . In this temple also has a majestic display of paintings depicting the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu (Dasavatharam).

The annual 10 days long ‘Arattu festival ‘ commences with the flag hoisting ceremony on the Atham day in Malayalam month ‘Meenam’ (March-April) and ends on ‘Thiruvonam’ day in Meenam .
