Chili Paneer (Shahi Paneer)

Ingredients

  • Paneer – 250 grams
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Chili powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch – 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon

Sauce

  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Ginger – 1 teaspoon
  • Onions – 50 grams
  • Bell pepper – 150 grams
  • Chili powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch – 1 teaspoon
  • Water – 2 tablespoons
  • Green Chili – 3 pieces
  • Soy sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar -1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

Method

  • First of all slice 250 grams of paneer into cubes and keep in a bowl.
  • Now mix 2 tablespoons oil, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt in the bowl.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once it gets hot, add paneer and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Take a non-stick pan and heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat. Now add 1/2 tablespoon garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger and Stir well.
  • Add 50 grams onions, 150 grams bell pepper, and 3 pieces green chili; fry them all for a minute.
  • Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon green chili sauce, 1 teaspoon red chili sauce, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt and Stir.
  • Add fried paneer, 1/4 teaspoon chili powder, diluted cornstarch. Mix well and heat all the way through till cooked.
